Terms of Service — 15-Minute Recipes

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the 15-Minute Recipes mobile application and the website at 15minuterecipes.app (together, the "Service"), operated by LM Doorstep Ventures Limited ("we," "us," "our"), a private company limited by shares registered in Kenya.

By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or guardian's permission. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
You must not share your account with anyone else or let anyone else use it.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → Account → Delete Account). Deletion removes your personal data per our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service in violation of any law.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the app, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
Scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk except via interfaces we explicitly publish for that purpose.
Use the Service to send spam, harass other users, or publish unlawful content.
Use the AI recipe generation to produce content that is unsafe, harmful, deceptive, or violates third-party rights.
Resell or commercially redistribute the Service or its content without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Subscriptions and payments

The Service offers a free tier and an optional paid 15 Minute Recipes Pro subscription. The following terms apply to all paid subscriptions:

4.1 Plans, pricing, and duration

Weekly — billed every 7 days.
Monthly — billed every 30 days.
Yearly — billed every 365 days.

Exact prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change; any change applies only to renewals after the change takes effect, and we will give reasonable advance notice.

4.2 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for the same subscription term, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The renewal charge is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) using the payment method on file with them.

4.3 How to cancel

Cancellation does not require contacting us. To cancel, manage your subscription in the platform that processes your payments:

iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → 15 Minute Recipes → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Google Play Store → menu → Subscriptions → 15 Minute Recipes → Cancel.

Your subscription will continue to provide access until the end of the current paid period; no further charges will be made after that.

4.4 Refunds

Because subscriptions are processed by Apple and Google, refunds are handled under their respective refund policies:

iOS: request via reportaproblem.apple.com.
Android: request via the Google Play Store.

We do not directly process payment refunds. Where required by law (e.g., the EU 14-day right-to-withdraw for consumers), additional refund rights may apply via the platform.

4.5 Free trials

If we offer a free trial, the terms (length, eligibility) will be shown to you before you start. Trials convert to paid subscriptions automatically at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of recipes, photos, and other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, copy, and adapt it solely as needed to operate the Service and the community features (e.g., displaying recipes you've shared to the community).

You are responsible for ensuring Your Content does not infringe third-party rights and complies with these Terms. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. Our content

The app, the website, the brand (including the "15-Minute Recipes" name and logo), all software, UI, and underlying technology are owned by LM Doorstep Ventures Limited and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

7. AI-generated content

The Service uses AI models to generate recipe suggestions based on your input. AI-generated content is provided as is and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for using common sense when cooking — verify ingredient safety, allergens, cooking temperatures, and any other health-relevant details before consuming.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated recipes are nutritionally accurate, allergen-free, or suitable for any particular dietary or medical need. If you have a medical condition, consult a qualified professional rather than relying on AI suggestions.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LM Doorstep Ventures Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow exclusions of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so the above may not apply to you in full. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LM Doorstep Ventures Limited and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) Your Content, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if required by law. We can also discontinue the Service at any time, in which case we'll give reasonable notice via email or in the app and provide a way to export Your Content where practicable.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The courts of Nairobi, Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except that:

Nothing limits your right to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence if you are a consumer protected by mandatory local law.
Either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in any competent court to protect intellectual property.

13. Apple-specific terms

If you download the app via the Apple App Store, the following terms apply between you and Apple Inc. (in addition to these Terms, which apply between you and us):

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app.
If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (where applicable). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
We (not Apple) are responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, IP infringement, and consumer protection claims.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll always post the new version here with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes, we'll notify you via email or in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
